Watched the new years eve fire work display in the area last night .. never saw much of it with been so many people around and been dark but I also visited a while back when my son and his beautiful wife got married here at the City Hall. So we stood in the same place for the fireworks display . Lovely memories here from the wedding . I visit when im staying at there's for Xmas etc and the fun fairs ./ Ice rink etc are fun to go round .. Always bustling with visitors . Can't wait to be back again .

Absolutely stunning park. Impeccably kept up with lovely walks. From tarmac paths to unsurfaced tracks through the trees, there's something to suit everyone. A real oasis - you'd never know you were right in the middle of one of Europe's leading cities.

Nice Park. Good quality well maintained paths. Nice walk along the river. Cool education centre and great cafe

Take a stroll through this park and see how many heritage trees you can spot. They are labelled with little plaques so you can see what they are - great if you are not sure. Take the kids; take a picnic. Wander up and along the river, visit the castle or Sophia Gardens, enjoy the beds and borders. Great day out or just a respite from shopping, work or the stresses of the day. Relax.

A green oasis in the centre of Cardiff. This was once the back garden of the castle bit the whole estate was gifted to the city in 1947 (I think) and is now maintained as a public Park. Open from 7:30 until shortly before sunset. The grounds feature many sculptures, often made using wood from the arboretum. There are many champion trees here, the largest specimens in the UK. There are many seats and three cafes. Don't miss the animal wall. You can catch the water taxi from near the southern entrance to Cardiff Bay.
