St.Fagans is great for a family day out or if you just want day out on your own. Most of the buildings have been rebuilt from their original sites. There is such a big variety of things to do great for family picnics and shops that sell original Welsh fare.
Lovely outdoor museum, although not easily accessible without a car of your own. It's completely free and has a lot of of very competent people who will provide an overview over different time periods which are all represented. Worth a visit if you're into experience history !!
Brilliant family day out. Plenty of things to keep the kids entertained. The bakery is a must visit, the freshly baked cheese rolls are incredible. I would highly recommend a visit. Entry is free but you do have to pay for parking.
I've been visiting since 1990's with my children. There was never a dull moment whilst touring the grounds. I take my hat off to all the people involved especially the guides who are always ready to help with questions. Now touring with grandchildren and still full of surprises. Lovely place to enjoy real history for 5.
A recreation of an old Welsh village and a large (newly improved) museum. You can walk around and enter the buildings, many which have open fires and items of interest. Lots and lots to do and it's free entry although parking isn't, so take some money for that. One of the best 'free' attractions I've ever been to!
