For 13.99 we had a three course Christmas menu that was tasty, substantial and didn't seem as if it had been microwaved.
Nice place, comfy seats. Good drink selection, good guest ales. Clean facilities. Haven't tried food so can't comment on that. But there is a pie stand, which is a nice touch. Prices are reasonable too. Also, lovely staff.

The yard is a great place, always got good bands on. Just a great vibe in this pub. Bar staff really friendly, when I was buying ales, they let me do a taste of each one. Lovely place.
Ordered three items from the menu one of which was meant to be cold but the other 2 items both were meant to be hot and came out cold and the food took over 35 minutes to arrive. Id understand if it was busy but there was only about 5 customers in there and the staff seemed too concerned with talking amongst themselves instead of bringing our food. At 30 for the three items we ordered I would expect much better quality of food and service.
