Our waiter was lovely and attentive. The gammon was possibly the nicest I've ever had.
The Gammon was more fatty and chewy since the last visit. The wife did not eat so much salad as it was not so nice. When we visited the restaurant it was quiet before the rush, left before it got busy.
Eaten here a lot recently, and every time the food has been great and staff friendly. Diane and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us at short notice for Christmas dinner, which was tasty and plentyfull. Would not hesitate to recommend to others.
Took my daughter here on Monday evening and wouldn't recommend or visit again......10 minutes to be seated - basically ignored whilst the (what appeared to be) one member of staff was busy with other tables (even though it wasn't actually that busy and takes less than a minute to seat people). Long wait for food, whilst listening to the two chefs arguing with each other, yes in full view/earshot of the customers - basically one of them having a go at the other one for 'not doing his job properly' and when the food arrived and it was cold then I thought maybe he had a point. Daughter ordered steak and wanted it rare - it came medium and tough as an old boot. In summary, I only visited as this place is local, but won't be going back and would advise people against using this particular Harvester. You couldn't even describe it as 'cheap and cheerful' - more 'expensive for what it is, with rubbish service, cold food and unprofessional staff'.
Very good. Our party of 3 dined here for 2 nights during travelling on business. Food and service were both excellent. Looks a bit tired yes but we weren't there to eat the decor. Oh and the Christmas tree... in October! Really?! Despite this faux pas, happy to recommend.
