Love this airport + wont fly from any other.staff helpful + friendly.Lovely+clean.Plenty of choice of food,snacks+drinks.
Much improved and that seems to be continuing. Security much improved with new machines and additional scanning capacity. Departures lounge much more spacious with Costa a very positive addition especially as the prices are not inflated which brings me to the Beer House which is stupidly priced with the name unfortunate, it's a Welsh airport after all. Much improved but the feeling of being ripped off albeit the same at most airports is disappointing.
Nice airport facilities for a small airport. Poor customer service here when they made frequent fliers check small bags despite much bigger bags (bigger than the regulation hand luggage it looked like) heading on board AND loads of space available in the aircraft overhead luggage bins. The upgrade to first class because the plane was full was nice but I'd rather be sitting in my purchased seat with my bag than sitting in an identical seat 2 rows forward under an empty overhead locker and with my bag I the hold. No reasoning with the check in staff though. Clearly they were having a bad day too, so I have some small sympathy, but some common sense and fairness would have been nice.
I was picking up my sister when she arrived back from Amsterdam the other day and I hadn't been to Cardiff Airport in so long. It has changed quite a bit from what I did see. I did get myself confused a little and approached a lovely gentleman named Lee Herbert who was extremely helpful and nothing was really too much trouble for him. He didn't just tell me where I needed to go, he took the time to take me there and even stood and made conversation with me for a little while I waited. An absolute credit to the airport and a genuinely lovely person. If all the staff are anywhere near as helpful as this man then I can only imagine it to be a wonderful place.
It's always a delight to use this great small airport. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and it's small enough to have very short check in and security queues. Very efficient and quick.Fair amount of decent facilities for its size and on arrival it's very quick to get off the plane, collect luggage and pass through security.Passenger drop off and pick up is better than at most airports, car parking is within 10min walking distance too.Car hire offices recently moved location to a new building closer to the airport departures. The well know agents available on site.Taxis on standby and regular bus route into town makes this easy to get to.
